As a first step, Polaris Fuel will focus on building strong collaborative communities in four key areas:

• Polaris Mining (PM): focuses on obtaining raw resources and building mining systems for the ONI, MUD and USTUR factions. Polaris representatives within each faction will supervise output to ensure it meets demand. They will also create and oversee treaties and alliances with the local faction DACs.

• Polaris Refining (PR): works in tandem with the mining teams to refine raw materials into high quality fuel.

• Polaris Transport and Security (PTS): Securely delivers the refined goods to the different Polaris gas franchises in each faction and risk zone. This team will be composed of cargo ships and security escort patrol ships.

• Polaris (Re)Fuel Stations (PFS): Creates a franchise style business model for Polaris Fuel. Our goal is to enable anyone in Star Atlas to own and operate a fuel station in any risk zone and faction territory. Standard services in every franchise will be: refueling and restocking, cleaning, repairing and towing. Owners will be able to fully customize their stations and add additional services as long as they adhere to the ethics and standards of Polaris Fuel.

 

To build these pillars, Polaris Fuel will forge mutually beneficial partnerships with other players and guilds.

We think a strong case can be made for mining in the public good. Cooperation with other players and guilds will lead to stable energy prices, open supply lines and fair access for all players. It could also lead to new innovations in ship design, mining structures, mining equipment, energy production, fuel sources (e.g., renewables), extraction and refining efficiencies.
